Structuri alternative
Scott Brown de la Wired propune Hollywood-ului o nouă structură dramatică pe care să-și construiască poveștile. Afară cu piramida lui Freytag și cu momentele subiectului (știți voi, intrigă și altele…)! Trăiască arcul narativ haotic!
Cel mai bun moment al textului lui Brown este exemplul pe care-l dă ca să ilustreze structura narativă clasică. Bineînțeles, e vorba de Die Hard:
In Freytag-ese, Die Hard unfolds thusly: NYC cop John McClane arrives in LA to reunite with his estranged wife, Holly (exposition), but terrorists raid her office tower, taking everyone hostage except McClane (inciting incident), who escapes unseen and starts picking off the goons (rising action). The terrorists finally realize they’re holding McClane’s wife and gain the upper hand (climax), but McClane frees the other hostages (falling action), goes toe-to-toe with the terrorist chieftain, and prevails (resolution). He celebrates by making out with his wife in the back of a limo. (Awww! And … denouement!)

hahahaha. Absolut savuros. Lost sau Cloverfield imi vin in minte referitor la ce scrie, si tot ARG-ul din jurul albumului Year Zero al Nine Inch Nails. Battlestar Galactica sau Heroes au si ele webisodes, sau in cazul Heroes, comics care dezvolta universul creat in serial. In literatura Mark Z. Danielevski “House of Leaves”. Traim intr-o era postmoderna, a Second Life-ului si existentelor paralele in real si virtual. E normal ca la un moment dat sa inceapa sa schimbe si regulile clasice. Clasicul prevails, sa vedem daca o s-o faca si crash-boom-bang-ismul asta. Probabil ca da. In fond, in curand toata lumea o sa vorbeasca in chatspeak, asa ca… :)
